Black Bottom Lighters
Black Bottom Lighters
Three guitarists, two vocalists, a percussionist, and a turntablist form one of the most dynamic sounding groups in the Arizona desert. Built on an acoustic foundation, the BBL's sound is as difficult to describe as it is to dislike. From mellow unplugged personal performances to wild stage acts as well as a crowd thats typically on the cusp of out of control, you are sure to have a memory or two when you leave one of their shows.
Vintage Wednesday
Vintage Wednesday
Vintage Wednesday is from Gilbert, AZ. Vintage Wednesday is highly influenced by rock music from the 60’s and 70’s through today, covering bands like The Beatles, Fleetwood Mac, Heart, Rolling Stones, Jefferson Airplane, Pat Benatar, U2, Foo Fighters and Led Zeppelin. Their originals have a very classic rock sound mixed with an Indie vibe. Vintage Wednesday was a finalist in Alice Cooper’s Proof is in the Pudding 2013 and 2014. The band has performed at University of Phoenix Stadium for the Arizona Cardinals, Rock Bar/Scottsdale, Hard Rock Cafe, Alice Cooperstown, PF Chang’s KidsRock AZ, Harvey American, Tempe Marketplace, Nile/Underground, Chandler Center for the Arts, Yucca Tap Room, Susan G Komen Race for The Cure and many other venues and events.
The Sink Or Swim
The Sink Or Swim
Don't let the seemingly young age of Phoenix, AZ-based The Sink or Swim fool you. While all age 22 or younger, the band has unleashed their music with an earnestness and fury that is non-negotiable. With each member almost imposssibly boasting of nearly a decade of experience, the 4-piece has released two well-received EP's with a 3rd to follow in the summer of 2017, working with producer Michael Beck at SoundVision Studio in Phoenix (Alice Cooper, Dream Theater, Phunk Junkeez, Lydia). The band's recordings and live performance alike have taken their home of Phoenix by storm with local institution JAVA Magazine claiming, "The Sink of Swim have established themselves as one of the brightest and most ambitious acts in the local music scene." The upstarts' poise and vision is no doubt influenced by not only their love of all things rock n' roll but also their collective struggles with adversity - with one member claiming to be an Israeli fugitive for failing to enlist in the IDF, and another being estranged from his father at a young age due to a stint in prison. It is all these factors that inject their upcoming album "Oasis Unknown" with an even darker and heavier landscape than their recent albums. "The songs are all relationship driven," says singer Nate Zeune. "It's about processing the aftermath, coping." To a man, each member of the band claims to have one goal in their musical endeavors: to make people feel something. Says Zeune, "we're so accustomed to instant gratification, to getting a rush all the time that we're all becoming numb. We want to connect to people with our music....and we want to prove that rock n roll isn't dead." The new album will release late-summer 2017 with regional tour dates surrounding the release.
Ruca
Ruca
Raised by die hard deadheads with pure flower power in Cave Creek, AZ, Ruca’s music emanates from a love of organic sounds, grooves that move, and lyrics that flow. If she's not performing at a show, she's probably on the road to go see one. Addicted to music and the beauty it brings; her smoky, soulful voice tells her story with a resounding, infectious energy. Since the release of her debut album Flow (produced by Nashville veteran Jack Howell of WilloDisc), she’s been honing her live chops at Arizona nightclubs and festivals both with a full band and as a solo acoustic artist. No matter what the ensemble, Ruca never fails to mesmerize audiences with her raw-silk voice and irrefutable charisma every time she gets behind the mic. Hoping to headline festivals world-wide, Ruca is aiming high and wants to bring everyone along for the ride.
Mind Upside
Mind Upside
This is same-old, tired band autobiography that you have been reading year after year about how we play a certain style but branch out to make it a unique sound that can't simply be described as any particular genre . We will also over-exaggerate on how we have played with big-time national bands (one time we played a festival and we heard that Guns N Roses played later in the night in the next town) and talk about all the different locations we have played in. We might talk about how our last record was met with undisputed critical acclaim and how we have big plans to take over the world in the coming months/years. This bio is intended to convince you to think very highly of us before you hear any of our music. Have you been sold yet? If not, let us know and we will keep writing.
